I find K to be the perfect psychadelic: relatively manageable effects, scaleable dosage, and shorter duration even than mushrooms (although admittedly I’m a fan of both shrooms and LSD, which has a marathon duration especially at higher doses). S-ketamine is truly special. Probably the best dissociative anaesthetic out there. It’s recently been approved for treatment of treatment-resistant depression in Canada, in the form of a nasal spray (also available here on BLC!). Not everyone should attempt this, necessarily, but experienced psychedelic lovers might find this dissociation pairs well with other psychedelic favourites: it can help reduce the butterflies on the come-up for mushrooms, or enhance the subjective mind-melding effects of acid at the peak. Best use for me? Dancing and getting immersed in the rhythms and beats of your favourite dance music (I’m near certain that Aphex Twin must have done some dabbling with K in his time). Can’t recommend highly enough.
